Wheels, wheels and more wheels (oh and Clydesdale's). What a week it's been! Check out these old beauties. Matilda and I were fortunate enough to take a ride in them all. I think the London taxi (60 years young) was my favourite - these amazing taxis were designed to be able to turn in tight spaces, in the busy London streets of the 1950's (they can turn a full 360 degree radius, on the spot). The near 90 year old Chevrolet was rather quaint too, although a little drafty. It's amazing what local folks have tucked away in their sheds. I'm so glad people hang on to, and restore these lovely old vehicles.
NB The taxi isn't missing a door - that hole on the front passenger side is where luggage is stored.
This style of taxi doesn't have a boot.
