Little Artists in Residence

'Family Drawing Afternoon' is becoming a regular Sunday afternoon event here.  Yes the big people join in too (but our, um..."efforts" aren't worth photographing).  Both Harry and Till love drawing, and create some very imaginative artworks. Harry tends to draw aliens, knights, castles, space-ships and the like.  Till has a thing for rainbows, mermaids and fairies. Sometimes I give suggestions for things they can draw - just so they branch out a bit. Now and then I place objects on the table for inspiration; shells, coral, driftwood, flowers and rocks. Harry will attempt to sketch most things but Till gets very frustrated if her designs don't come together, as she imagines they should. Materials we work with include pencils, liquid dyes, pastels and textas.  I put a selection of paper on the table, plus we each have our own sketch book.  I have some crafty/arty activities planned for the holidays - stay tuned for a blog post about that. But now, take a short tour through the blog art gallery...
