Ben left to go fishing before the sun came up, sneaking out while myself and the smalls continued our journey through dream land. Much later we awoke to a spectacular morning, full of sunshine and the promise
of adventure. I couldn't bare the idea of being inside for a single
second. Bundling up the munchkins I asked them to grab their hats and
jump in the car...staying indoors wasn't an option, we were heading out
for breakfast! Nothing exciting, just cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt -
everything thrown hastily into a basket. The best experiences often
require the least amount of fuss I think. And how about this glorious
location....
all to ourselves. This is what holidays are
about...spur of the moment decisions that lead us to doing things a
little out of the ordinary.

Gosh you live in a beautiful part of the world. We are very spontaneous in this way too, keeps life exciting.
Do you experience all four seasons there Michelle?
x
That sounds like a pretty lovely idea to me. Growing up near the ocean and now an "inlander" I do miss that fresh morning ocean scent. Maybe next coastal holiday we can pack a quick breakfast picnic too :) Gorgeous pics!
I think we only have 2 seasons here Spring and Autumn. Either one is delightful, until that cool wind blows in from The Antarctic via NZ. This season is more like Spring/Summer though, I think it forgot to change :)
Glad you finally made it to Cemetery Michelle.
We are a bit closer to the beach but we do this alot too ! so easy, so much fun and less mess to clean up ! i love the top photo !
Well...we don't really have four seasons here. Whilst Autumn is upon us, the only clues are the days have become shorter and the mornings/evenings a bit cooler. As Cristina said, we can get an icy wind in Winter...but no frost here and barely a temp below 10 degrees (at the absolute coldest over-night). Summer is mild, with temps never going above 26 degrees - PERFECT. I miss the golden leaves of Autumn though - I lived in Bathurst NSW before coming to Norfolk. We certainly experienced four distinct seasons there...and Autumn was spectacular!
You're so close Linda, you could eat breakfast, lunch AND dinner on the sand!!!!!!!!!!
I was "inlander" once....in fact I've only lived near the sea since we came to Norfolk three and a half years ago. I wonder how I'll go when we leave and if we'll have to find a town close to the ocean. I have to say, I like the country too!
A spontaneous trip to the beach to have breakfast sounds really lovely, I do wish the ocean wasn't quite so far away for us. You live in such a stunning spot Michelle. Have a wonderful weekend. x
P.S. Thank you so much for you comment and great feedback on my last post. I am so glad that you found it helpful and best of luck with making the switch to manual, it's fun this photo taking hobby isn't it:)
