I'm home from a pretty special weekend away, a whirl wind trip to be honest. On Good Friday I flew to Sydney to spend Easter with my family. My sister (who I hadn't seen for 15 months) welcomed a new baby into her nest 7 weeks ago and I was determined to meet Martha-Rose before she turned 1! Mum, Dad, my "little" brother Matt and his partner drove down from the Central West to take advantage of my incredibly short visit! Matt and Hathor have a bubba also, Hayley, whom I hadn't set eyes on since she was barely a month old. It really was a weekend of baby admiring and snuggling - OK, there was also sushi, gelato, pancakes with berries, to-die-for-Lebanese cuisine, plus Easter eggs - yeah, I ate a LOT!!!
The other exciting part of my trip (I bet you can guess what I'm going to say based on the above
eclectic collection of photos) was that I fired up my new camera - it was
waiting for me at my sister's place. Needless to say, I clicked away at
everything and anything. Whilst I purchased two lenses, I'm yet to give the
big one a work-out (AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm) - I had such a ball playing with the small one to be honest (AF-S Nikkor 50mm). And you know what....I'm in love with my camera....truly. Now to learn to operate it properly! Wish me luck.
What a weekend huh. Now that I'm back on The Rock, it all feels like a dream!
I hope you all had a lovely Easter too! xxx
