stills [easter edition]

My goodness it's been a huge week, filled with so many magic moments. It started for Ben and I with a trip to Phillip Island. It was my first time on the island and I can't wait to share the oodles of photos I took (450 to be exact...so culling is underway). I could hardly walk the next day, my legs were so sore from climbing up and down the cliff!

Aside from that, we had the school Easter carnival, attended a few early morning yoga classes, swam in the best bay on earth with dear family (and turtles!!!!) and days later watched as their plane left our paradise home. It's really sad when visitors leave, but we know they'll be coming back!

Ben and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary this weekend (how can it be? 16 years??). Together we went to a yoga class in the afternoon, ate a delicious meal with our kids for dinner and later watched a movie before heading out very late into the night to watch the lunar eclipse and take photos of the night sky! We saw two shooting stars, how special is that! I think it was a sign that we can expect many more years of marital bliss ha ha! Someone asked me yesterday 'What's the secret to a good marriage?' I wasn't sure what to say.  Ben and I have been together for 20 years, and given we're both not yet 40 (but close), I almost can't remember my life without him. I think perhaps friendship is the key, as we have always enjoyed doing many things together. I asked Ben for his thoughts and he said 'forgiveness', which made me laugh out loud because I'm the worst at apologising and the best at holding a grudge!!

There is so much joy in my life! I feel very blessed.

Yes, that IS Ben swimming with the huge ancient three-finned turtle. Thanks to Norfolk Island Photos for those amazing images.

Just love the shot across the greenery to the looming grey clouds and mist over the peaks. Wonderful!

It sounds like you had a wonderful Easter and you've taken some beautiful photos of your family over the holidays. Happy 16th wedding anniversary!! My hubby and I will be celebrating 17 years this year and 22 years of being together, boy the time flies by so fast. It's wonderful to have found a partner to be with and that you still love after all this time:) I like your hubby's idea of what is the secret to a good marriage, it sure is a big thing and communication too I think:) I hope you are keeping well. x
