two chimneys reserve

It's been a while, yes? My heart just isn't into blogging these days - I'm in a bit of a photography funk too. There are just too many other concerns jostling about in my head...even though I do try and file them in the 'it's out of my control' compartment.

But I had some special time with my girl today and even have a few photos to share. The pair of us packed a picnic and headed for Two Chimneys Reserve - Till chose the location because it's a good spot for bike riding. I was happy to oblige as I love watching the white terns that soar above the pines there.

It's true being outdoors is good for the soul! I'd forgotten how lovely this part of the island is. The grass was lush and soft, the sun warm and the breeze perfectly light. A large black butterfly fluttered very close to Matilda's face which was quite special to witness!

I'm looking forward to the school holidays and more time in nature. How about you?

I need lots of nature therapy! My husband is dragging me away to go camping for a week. That should do the trick. Take care, Marijke

I've been out side too. Lots of sun on the back does me a world of good. xx
