So remember yesterday when I was lamenting how hopeless my middle-of-the-day photography skills are? Maybe if I owned this lens (*drooling on the keyboard*) I would have experienced greater success...well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Damn you bright sun. You cause too many nasty face shadows. I think I'll avoid taking photos in the middle of the day from now on - it's not like anything good happens in the middle of the day anyway, right!?
Maybe I should have read these tips before I headed outdoors with my camera at noon! Next time huh?

I love all the handmade kites and the drawings on them are wonderful. Home made kites are great for kids and they all look as if they are having a great time. Don't worry about the lens....no one likes taking photos at midday however if the event is on at midday...that's when you take the photos. Great job. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia
I hope your students don't see you drooling (I'm trying to picture you doing it...). Do you want to try that lens? I remember you letting me hold your camera so I might return the favour ;) And you let me sharpen pencils. How does that sound?
And yet your photos capture all the colours, and the spirit of the moment.
YES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
oh look at these they are wonderful! i cant see anything wrong with the pictures but im following the links now to check out any tips at all! My photography is a static beast that taunts me at the moment! xxx
