back button focus

Why hello there!

You probably weren't expecting a photo of Till's grubby gumboots or a wet frangipani. I can't help it, photography is consuming me, I even want to point the lens at boring things like a garden hose for goodness sake! I think about possible photos in my sleep....I dream of giving up the day job just so I can shoot images (I'd give my right arm to do some kind of photography course). But in spite of all the muddling, mistakes and mishaps, I just keep learning new stuff. Have you heard of back button focus? Nah, I hadn't either until I read about it here. They say it takes about a month to get used to focusing this way...but quite frankly, I was sold on it after just a few minutes.

We've had rain for the past three days! We have an entourage of visitors (YAY!!!!) coming our way this month and next, so the more water in our tank the better.
