Holidays: Day Eight

The fairies did come.....and look what treasures they left behind! A teeny tiny bouquet of pretty little flowers, glittery sparkles everywhere, plus a shiny cheerful wind chime that has the sweetest tinkly sound ever. Those fairies sure were famished too,  because they ate all the food that Matilda had left for them, including the tomato sauce. In case they come back tonight, Till has left them a nut shell full of milo, a bottle-cap of juice, some snow peas and strawberries from the veggie patch.  As I type this she is on her way outside to place yet another note in the glass jar. I have never seen her so excited! I wish I could put her absolute pure joy into a bottle and keep it forever!

The tiniest bouquet of fresh flowers we have ever seen!

Thank-goodness we have a fairy-sized vase!

Far out, the fairies on Norfolk are awesome! Dex has been talking non-stop about creating a fairy garden with Til when we visit.

Oh my goodness Cass - it's become a fairy OBSESSION!!!! This morning she cooked them toast for breakfast (with cranberry sauce on it!!!! - fairies have peculiar tastes apparently).
Lou....you gave me the fairy vase....I think you bought it somewhere in Asia!?

I feel for you. Fairy obsession has been, stayed for a loonnngg time and looks like it is finally on its way out (slowly but there you go). In fact the 'real' fairy stuff is very cute and so appealing, but it's all the associated pink-ness and cutesie rubbish that makes me want to gag. Luckily Harriet isn't into that at all and we managed to skirt the edges of it all.

If you're interested in the Fairy Magic books then we have...oohhh..about 60 or so we could send over at Christmas with Lou if you'd like. ;o)

Till has a small collection of the Fairy Rainbow Magic books - Numbers 1-7. I'm certain she'd love to borrow some!!!!! Lou will be thrilled ha ha.

PS Unfortunately Till loves all things fairy, including the glittery pink bits that make you gag (and I'm totally with you on that) - I don't know how or why...and I'm certain we didn't encourage it somehow. From the moment she could speak she showed a scary preference for all things stereotypically girly!!!!!!! The girl is obsessed with make-up and I don't even wear it for goodness sake :)
